Before nursing school, I was...

an undergraduate student at Emory College taking my prerequisite classes. The summer before nursing school, I worked as a Patient Care Associate in the ED at a local hospital!

What has been the highlight of nursing school so far?

In skills lab, we are able to simulate real-world skills on mannequins and I have learned so much practicing a variety of skills over and over again until I have mastered them. Being able to learn these skills in small groups of 10 has made me closer with other students and learn much more than I would have ever thought I would.

I chose Emory because...

of the immense amount of opportunities it has to offer. Being located in Atlanta, Emory has access to many world class clinical sites. In addition, there are so many extracurricular activities whether it be sports, volunteering or career-related. Emory provides many resources to students and with its small class sizes, I feel like I am able to easily access so many resources while connecting with students of many backgrounds.

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

Explore new restaurants and have picnics. I love trying trying different types of food at Ponce City Market and one restaurant I recently went to in Atlanta that I really liked was Mary Mac's Tea Room! One spot that I enjoy having picnics is Piedmont Park, since it has such large grass fields and a beautiful view of Atlanta.
