My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is try all the different food spots along the beltline on a sunny Saturday. I have recently discovered Hawkers and love their twist on Asian street food! Also, those rooftop views are amazing!
I love educating my patients on things that seem so simple but can make a big difference in someones safety and recovery process. Using the teach-back method of nursing is very rewarding for me because I get to be a part of someones road to recovery.
I chose Emory because I wanted an education that encompassed all the different facets of nursing care, not just the hard facts. Emory does an amazing job of teaching us about cultural awareness, holistic approaches to medicine, mental health, and how to advocate for ourselves as professionals. I also love how well connected Emory University and Emory Healthcare is in the medical and nursing community. Carrying the Emory name through my professional career will open doors for me and provide me with ample opportunities for growth and success.
Before nursing school, I was a medical assistant at a pediatric cardiology office in Raleigh, NC for two years after graduating from Elon University in 2021 with a bachelors in Public Health Studies and a minor in Biology.
