Before nursing school, I was...

receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mercer University in Macon, GA. While I was in undergrad I was a member of the sorority Alpha Delta Pi, I was a Mercer cheerleader during my freshman year, and I was a member of various premed then prenursing clubs. I was also working as a lifeguard for the university as well as a barista at a local dessert and coffee bar.

I chose Emory because...

its high ranking, beautiful campus, variety of master programs for if I decide to get my masters at Emory, and I love being in Atlanta.

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

to try all the different restaurants and bars. I also love exploring Atlanta in general, such as going to the botanical garden, going to Braves games (pre-covid), and walking on the beltline.

What has been the highlight of nursing school so far?

All the amazing friends I have made. I have also really enjoyed being able to hands-on experience in the hospital fairly early on in nursing school.
