What has been the highlight of nursing school so far?

The highlight of nursing school so far has been my med-surg clinical rotation and developing friendships along the way. While COVID has changed a lot of my nursing experience, I was so grateful to have such a wonderful first clinical experience, where we were exposed to so many things. I've also been so grateful for the friendships that have developed and that we've been able to meet up in COVID friendly scenarios!

I chose Emory because...

it is highly ranked nursing school that offered the ideal program for my situation! I was looking for a program that would allow me to transition from a non-nursing degree (Biology) to to the ability to become a family nurse practitioner. The AMSN-FNP program was the perfect program for me, and once I visited Atlanta, I knew Emory was the right choice!

Before nursing school, I was...

a student at UCLA (go Bruins!). I studied Biology while taking the nursing school prerequisites and graduated March of 2020. I was involved in student ministry at Grace Community Church which was the best, and was involved in a few campus organizations! I also got married between my Junior and Senior years which was so sweet!
