I chose to return to Emory for my MSN because after working as a registered nurse for two years, I truly feel that Emory prepared me to enter the workforce as a competent and capable clinician. I have no doubt that I will have the same result upon completing the MSN program.
My favorite thing to do on a beautiful sunny day in Atlanta is go for a walk on the Beltline, walk around Piedmont Park, and end the day with an ice cream cone from Jeni's!
Before returning to Emory to obtain my MSN, I worked full-time as a registered nurse at Emory University Hospital on the Solid Abdominal Organ Transplant unit taking care of kidney and liver transplant patients. I continue to pick up shifts when I have some extra time!
The highlight of my graduate school experience has been attending on-campus lab days 2-3 times per month. It has provided as sense of normalcy while still maintaining safety. I am grateful to still be able to use Emory's state-of-the-art lab facilities and learn from small-group instruction. I have also enjoyed my brief in-person interactions with my cohort and look forward to spending more time getting to know them in the future!
