My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

try new foods and visit places that my hometown in Mississippi didn't have. For example, my favorite past-time is roaming around Target buying unnecessary things. I also love weekend outings with my family to places like the Botanical Gardens, TopGolf, and Jeni's for a sweet treat!

What has been the highlight of nursing school so far?

So far, the highlight of nursing school for me has been all of my clinical experiences and having the opportunity to gain experience in the areas I'm interested in (Pediatrics and Neonatal) to confirm that I am on the right path with the specialty that I chose.

I knew that I wanted to learn from the best! It's no secret that Emory has some of the best faculty and staff in the nation. I knew that I would get an amazing nursing education from people who are exceptional nurses and leaders in the field who would teach me to become an exceptional nurse leader and help educate future nurses as well!

Before nursing school, I was...

a student leader and Community Assistant (aka an RA) at the University of Mississippi, affectionately known as Ole Miss. I also joined a sorority and served as my chapter's President during my senior year. I graduated in May 2021 with a B.A. in Allied Health Studies and minors in Biology and Psychology and immediately moved to Atlanta to start nursing school only 2 weeks later!
