I chose Emory because it defined a balance between excitement, character, and a new journey and with academic success, stability, and comfort. I always was known of Emory because my sister was an alumni '20C from Goizueta Business School. I grew up in an environment that cherished and loved Emory and I soon fell in love with the school. Emory has a unique character that is determined in creating a fruitful, vivacious environment that supported students and pushed them to be the greatest. I chose Emory because its excellence goes beyond classrooms
Coming from a home that is 30 minutes away from ATL, I have become assimilated into city life here. From walking around buckhead to shopping at Ponce City Market, I have grown to a healthy relationship and love for this city. Witnessing it grow from a small, humble city to a flourishing, lively community that brings those from all over allowed me to explore the city and make it become part of my personality traits. My favorite activity in ATL has to be walking and eating in Midtown where there are amazing grub eatery and friendly people who welcome me from all over.
The highlight of nursing school has to be meeting my cohort. Emory has done an exceptional job in cultivating a smaller, personalized learning experience where I can easily engage with my classmates and form strong friendships with them. Additionally, my cohort is incredible in its diversity where I met those from all over, coming from different backgrounds and cultures that opened my experiences and strengthened me as a friend and a undergraduate student
I was a timid, unsure student who did not know what she was doing for sure. By being an undergrad at Emory for two years, I had time to build up my image and identity by joining clubs, making memorable friendships, and growing myself through exploring fashion and culture. I was a student who was not fully confident with her heritage and her capabilities to make a friend and succeed in school. However, I explored beyond my comfort zone and established my own personal sense of self
