Before nursing school, I was working behind the sign-in desk at my local emergency room because I wanted any kind of experience within the hospital setting. I've always known that I want to work in a hospital, and I figured that I'd learn a lot not only about the patients but also about the patients' families, and how the medical staff works together in emergency situations.

What has been the highlight of nursing school so far?

Clinicals have 100% been the highlight of nursing school. The experiences my peers and I have gotten while at different clinical rotations are incredibly valuable to our education. We experience the early mornings, the various codes that are called while we're on the unit, operation room experiences, and so much more.

I chose Emory because...

I chose Emory because of how highly ranked their various nursing programs are. There are so many different degrees that one can acquire in nursing, and Emory always came up very highly ranked no matter which direction I may end up going in.
