I chose Emory because of the unique MN pathway to MSN program and the family nurse practitioner specialty that I will be entering into. Emory is able to provide its students with many opportunities around Atlanta and I am proud to call myself an Emory nursing student.

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is to walk around Piedmont Park and on the Beltline. One of the best things about Atlanta is the weather, there are many warm and beautiful days to take advantage of in every season. These areas are great for walking with friends, running, or biking. There are many great restaurants and shops along the way to stop at.

I attended The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA from kindergarten to my senior year of high school. Afterward, I attended the University of Mississippi for my undergraduate degree. I majored in Allied Health Studies and minored in Psychology. I started at Emory about two weeks after I graduated from the University of Mississippi.

What has been the highlight of nursing school so far?

The highlight of the nursing school in my opinion has been the professors. I have felt that the professors genuinely want to see every student succeed and are willing to go out of their way to meet with students outside of class to answer any questions.
