Alumnus at Emory University School of Nursing
Class of 2023
Current: Lilburn, GA
Major: BSN
All over the place! I spent my freshman year of college at Auburn, then transferred to Georgia College and State University for my sophomore year. Then, I took a year off of school to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Athens, Georgia. During this time, I finished my final pre-requisite courses online through Geneva College. I moved from Athens to Atlanta this past summer, about a month before nursing school started!
It sounds silly, but learning about nursing has been great. Emory has taught me so much, and it's crazy to compare what I know now to what I knew when I started this program. I am very excited to keep learning and working toward my license!
The summer after my sophomore year of college, I decided to change my major to nursing. I grew up 30 minutes north of Atlanta and have always heard great things about Emory's nursing school, so it was a no-brainer for me to send in my application! While it was intimidating to send in the application, I am glad that I took the chance because I have had an amazing experience at this school.
Skate with my roommate! She is in nursing school with me, and she has been teaching me how to ride a skateboard over the past few months. It is a great way to move around and get some fresh air after class!
