MSN, DNP, and CRNA at Emory University School of Nursing
Class of 2026
Hometown: Williston, FL
Major: Nursing
The highlight of nursing school so far has been seeing years of hard work pay off. It has been my dream to become a nurse since 12 years old, a decade of my life. Also, since I was younger, I have dreamed of doing international service and in March 2025 I was able to study abroad in the Bahamas and service the locals through healthcare. I am achieving all of my aspirations, it really has been life-changing.
Being an Emory SON alumna to me means change. Change in the trajectory of my family’s future. I'm a first generation graduate, soon to be twice. I will also be the first nurse in my immediate family. I’m doing the work to become educated on things like healthcare and nursing so I can pass this knowledge to my family and improve our lives. This is more than just for me, this is for us.
Before nursing school, I was a 2023 graduate of Vanderbilt University. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and Sociology. I have also been a CNA since I was 18 years old and still in high school; so, the geriatric population and CNAs have a very special place in my heart and nursing journey!
