Jenae T.

Alumnus at Emory University School of Nursing

She/her/hers

Class of 2023

Current: Boston, MA

Major: BSN

I chose Emory because...

it is a culturally different environment for me. I am from Boston, with Black and Hispanic heritage. I always went to schools with students and teachers who looked like me, but as I prepare to transition into the professional world, I wanted to experience greater diversity. Of course, this could be done at other schools as well, but as cliche as it sounds, nursing has been my dream for as long as I can remember. I went to Agnes Scott in 2018 knowing I would be applying to Emory in 2020. Emory helps develop successful students into successful nurses. It is widely recognized and highly appreciated. I wanted to be a part of an institution that is known for contributing to an exceptional profession.

My favorite thing to do in Atlanta is...

try new restuarants #foodie!

Before nursing school, I was...

a biology major at Agnes Scott College #Incredible Red class of 2022!

What has been the highlight of nursing school so far?

concepts learned in one course connecting to concepts in another! Gen-Eds and Pre-Reqs are usually independent of each other, but in nursing school I literally feel everything coming together which keeps me engaged!
