BSN, MN, and MN Pathway at Emory University School of Nursing
Class of 2026
Hometown: Albuquerque, GA
Major: Nursing
I went to Oxford College of Emory and then Emory University for my Bachelors (in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology). Now, I'm back - but as a grad student! Clearly, I love Emory. Emory has such an empowering community and an abundance of resources. I feel challenged and supported in each aspect of my academic journey at Emory, during both undergrad and grad school!
Definitely the 1:1 patient interaction. It's one thing to think about patient-care, and it's another thing to actually experience it. It was an out-of-body experience to interact with my first patient, even if it was just taking vitals. We are truly making an impact, and it's incredibly evident during our clinical rotations!
I went to Emory for undergrad, and my major was Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. I was a director for Pre-Health Advising (and a peer mentor!). I mentored disadvantaged high-school students through Emory Pipeline. I also founded my own club, Holistic Hub, to spread positivity and wellness throughout Emory and beyond. Lastly, I was on a belly-dancing dance group!
Walking on the belt-line, doing hot yoga, trying new places to eat! I love exploring Atlanta and all the cool hidden gems.
